Online Counseling aka Telemental Health
My practice is 100% online for your convenience. If you are looking for a face to face therapist, I'm not the right one for you. Research has shown that telehealth is just as effective as in person treatment -- when provided by a trained practitioner.
Individual Counseling or Therapy
I have provided effective counseling and care management help to many hundreds of people with a wide variety of problems. My orientation is person-centered, solution-focused, cognitive behavioral therapy. I provide educational materials and help you build important skills you will use to manage difficult people and situations for the rest of your life. The more honest you are about describing what brings you to counseling at this time, the better I am able to choose which therapeutic interventions will be most useful for you.
Many times, our stresses have something to do with the people in our lives, past or present. While I do not provide marriage counseling or family therapy, I can help you recognize problematic patterns and learn new ways to resolve conflicts, maintain healthy boundaries, etc. I also specialize in helping people understand themselves and each other better with respect to video game and social media use issues.
